New Year’s Eve Special Set Menus at Cafe Milano and Cafe Parisien
Christmas is officially over and we would like to extend a special appreciation to our customers who came to our Christmas set lunch last week (although, we hope you’re not done celebrating yet!). What excites Bangkokians more than Christmas? New Year's Eve celebrations of course. To welcome 2017, this Saturday we have another special set menu for you to enjoy. Our New Year’s Eve set comprises of famous classic dishes and will be served at Cafe Milano and Cafe Parisien on 31st December 2016 from 6pm onwards.
Italian food lovers will definitely not want to miss our Prawn and Crab Cannelloni; a popular modern pasta dish served with aromatic verde (green) sauce. Served with this dish is Agnolotti, or pasta dough stuffed with chicken mousse and shaped beautifully before being placed in a clear soup consommé. The soup itself is made from chicken bones and vegetables boiled together until the Agnolotti is golden. The smell and taste of this dish is exceptional. Follow with a traditional Salt Crusted Sea Bass Fillet, topped with extra virgin olive oil and spinach.
If the those choices do not appeal to you, then opt for our alternative main course. Wagyu Beef Fillet, pan seared for crispiness on the outside, yet still soft and juicy on the inside, topped with Porcini sauce, served with fine Polenta Cream mixed to perfection with white truffle. Or our famous Roasted Young Pigeon topped with Foie Gras Sauce is a also definite must try.
Finishing up this spectacular NYE set menu is a star shaped fruit cake Pandoro, one of our dessert highlights for this years festive time. It comes with vanilla sauce and Lemoncello, the sour italian liquor to freshen you up. The whole meal comes with a glass of Prosecco and is only 2950 baht per person.
Moving on to talk about Glasshouse’s Cafe Parisien and what is in store for French cuisine lovers at this time of the year. For starters we offer Caviar and Traditional Blinis. Our Caviar serves with Blinis; a traditional russian pancake which is crunchy outer texture but and chewy inside. We are also serving Pan Seared Foie Gras with Truffle and red wine sauce that will make you smile with every bite. The next dish is our Pan Seared John Dory Fillet with Carrot Puree and a mildly sweet onion cream sauce. It’s light but full of flavour.
Don’t think it’s over yet, as we have yet to present our delicious main courses that you can select from. Since the French love their meat on such special occasions, our chef suggested that these two dishes shall be prepared medium rare only. Starting with our soft Hind Tenderloin, served with traditional potato fondant, and a fruity raspberry sauce, or a very juicy Baby Lamb Steak in a nut crust, eaten with green pepper and fresh mint oil. Ending the special evening with Le Cadeaux, a dessert of celebration with sweet crunchy taste. The set comes with a sparkling welcome cocktail for only 3,950 baht per person.
